This 6 Days Luxury Rwanda gorilla & wildlife safari gives you an opportunity to trek the rare species of Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat then watch the wildlife species of the vast Savannah grassland Akagera National Park. The wildlife animals you watch in the park include; big five game, antelopes, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, and lots of bird species.
Volcanoes National Park is located in the Ruhengeri District of Musanze Rwanda requiring you to fly from Kigali International Airport for a period of 45 minutes and when you reach here you get to be briefed on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas as the park is the only destination in Rwanda where you can watch the rare species of Mountain Gorillas in their habitat.
The Park inhabits 10 habituated mountain Gorilla Families that are trekked by travelers from all over the world and these can be watched with a valid Gorilla Trekking Permit that costs US $1500 per person.
Akagera National Park is located off Kigali City and prominently known to offer amazing Wildlife Safaris to all travelers from all over the world as they get to watch many wildlife animals wandering around their natural habitat. Detailed Itinerary of the 6 Days Luxury Rwanda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Arrive in Kigali, Rwanda- the land of a thousand hills
On arriving at the Kigali International Airport, you shall have a VIP meet and greet with our Company representatives then later meet the driver guide to drive you to hotel in Kigali. On arrival here, you can choose to relax or go o exploration of the City as you view the vibrant streets, restaurants then after you shall return to your hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Day 2: City Tour and two-hour road trip to Akagera National Park
Enjoy breakfast then embark on City Tour around Kigali as you visit the various Genocide memorials (Kigali Genocide Memorial, Nyamata Genocide Memorial) and National Museums as well as National Market. After the visit proceed to Akagera National Park located in the Eastern Province of Rwanda. When you reach here you shall be introduced to the big five game then later driven to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Akagera Game Lodge.
Day 3: Game viewing and the Boat ride on Lake Ihema
Breakfast in the early morning then drive to Akagera National Park for a game drive on which you watch many wildlife animals like elephants, lions, Topis, warthogs, Defassa waterbucks, zebras, impalas, Hartebeests, blue monkeys, Kobs, spotted hyenas, leopards, Rhinoceros (both black and white species), buffaloes, Masai giraffes, etc. On these drives, take many photos to keep for a period of 3 to 4 hours then after you shall proceed for lunch break.
After lunch, you transfer to the stunning vast Lake Ihema for a Boat cruise as you watch many wildlife animals along the shores as well as hippos and crocodiles beneath the waters. After the boat cruise, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Akagera Game Lodge.
Day 4: Drive to Volcanoes National Park
Have breakfast in the morning then transfer to Volcanoes National Park for 5 and a half to 6 hours. Lunch is en-route then after you shall reach the park and check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking at Volcanoes National Park
Have very early morning breakfast at 6:30 am then after transfer to the Kinigi Park headquarters for precise briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas.
You shall be welcomed with a cup of hot coffee and cappuccino then later get distributed in groups of 8 with a lead park ranger guide who leads you into the green forest vegetation to trek the Mountain Gorillas along the varying trails.
You shall trek on all trails in the forest from one to another as you navigate through the green vegetated bushes for 2 to 5 hours. You shall later meet the Gorillas and stay in their presence for a period of 1 hour.
Take many photos to keep with you about the Gorilla Trekking Adventure then after you shall proceed back to the headquarters where you shall leave from to your hotel/ lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel.
Day 6: Depart to Kigali International Airport
Enjoy breakfast in the morning then after embark on departure to Kigali International Airport to board flight back home.
