Bwindi, situated in the south-western region of Uganda is one of the four only National Parks sheltering mountain gorillas. Here, the highest concentration of these Giant Apes are found and over 20 gorilla families have been habituated for tracking.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Entebbe, Uganda
Entebbe! When you arrive in the beautiful Entebbe on the shores of Lake Victoria- the largest freshwater Lake in Africa, you will be met and greeted at the Airport by our Airport representative, who will also assist with immigration and customs processes. Later, get transferred to the Hotel. The rest of the day will be spent at leisure, exploring the beautiful Town of Entebbe. A number of amazing places can be visited during this tour and they include Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, Mabamba Wetland or the Entebbe Botanical Gardens.

Day 2: Fly to Kihihi airstrip, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
This day you will go on a one and a half hour flight to Kihihi airstrip, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Flights departure times are 7:00am, 10:15am and 12:00pm. Get treated to the breathtaking aerial views of the rolling terraced hills, villages, winding Rivers, lush Valleys and dense rainforest while getting ushered to your destination. Your private driver will be waiting to take you to the Lodge, where you will spend the rest of the day relaxing.

- Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp or Bwindi Lodge (luxury).
- Mahogany Springs Camp or Silverback Lodge (midrange).
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3: Search for the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat
Be up early for breakfast and spend the next few hours in the jungle searching for and interacting with the mountain gorillas. First converge at the Park headquarters for briefing on how gorilla treks work. Go for the gorilla trekking adventure which will last 1-5 hours with lots of animal, bird and landscape views to spice up your trekking experience. You will spend on hour watching and photographing mountain gorillas as they play, feed, rest, groom and nurse their babies.
You will have the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Relax at the Lodge or get the chance to visit the local community at Ride 4 a woman project to see how a group of women use art and craft to fight poverty and domestic violence. Here, you can purchase a wide range of handcrafts like sandals, animal carvings and many others as souvenirs.

Day 4: Fly back to Entebbe, departure
This is the day you say goodbye to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and depending on the flight departure time, you will make way to the Airstrip, which is about one and a half to two hours’ drive from the Lodge. Arrive Entebbe in time for your flight back home. Safe travels!
