Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania, Kilimanjaro International Airport

On arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport, an Irembo Africa safaris representative will meet and greet you, then assist through customs and immigration. Your driver will then take you to your Hotel in Arusha Town. Depending on the arrival time, you will have time to explore Tanzania’s safari Capital, checking out the top historical/cultural sites like Arusha Nature History Museum as well as the Masai market curio & craft to shop for souvenirs. Dinner and overnight at your Hotel.

Day 2: Road transfer to Tarangire National Park, half-day game drive

Be prepared for your first day of game viewing in Tarangire National Park. After breakfast, meet at the Hotel lobby and embark on the journey to the Northern circuit of Tanzania. This spectacular Protected Area was named after the River that crosses through its landscape and is a hot spot for elephants, zebras, buffaloes, cheetahs, and lots of birds, totaling over 500 species. Enjoy a picnic lunch and go on with the game drive until evening.

Day 3: Drive to Serengeti National Park, a thrilling game-viewing experience

Enjoy a hearty breakfast and depart for Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most endowed safari destinations and home to the big five game. Serengeti is the starting point for the Great wildebeest migration that involves millions of wildebeests, gazelles, and zebras moving to Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. Your time in this Park will be one of the most unforgettable as you get to see big cats like cheetahs, lions, and leopards. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the Park to allow you to enjoy every sight of wildlife activities like lion hunting. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Camp.

Day 4: Full day in Serengeti National Park- hot air balloon tour, game drive, and cultural visit

This is going to be a very busy day as you will explore Masai Mara National Park in three activities. Drive from the Lodge/Camp to the starting point for the hot air balloon tour while sighting different animal species. The hot air balloon tour allows you to explore the sweeping plains of Serengeti, woodlands, and the Rivers that are off-limits to safari vehicles hence sighting more wildlife species. This is an adventure to behold and once you are done, stop for a picnic lunch and continue with the game drive that leads you to the Masai village. This is another experience that you can’t afford to miss in Serengeti National Park.

Day 5: Journey to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, afternoon game drives

On this day, you will have your last game drive in Serengeti National park as you exit and head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is popular for being one of the 7 National Wonders that boasts over 30,000 animals. Here, you will see lots of Rhinos, lions, zebras, wildebeests, giant elands, Topis, leopards, Masai giraffes, and many others. Your adventure will end in the evening when you drive to the place of accommodation for dinner and overnight.

From there, you will take an evening flight to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport in Zanzibar. Our private driver will meet and transfer you to the Hotel in Stone Town, about 15 minutes’ drive away.
