Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi, and explore the beautiful City

On getting into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will go through customs and immigration with assistance from our Airport representative, then get transferred to the Hotel. Depending on the time you arrive in magical Kenya, you will get briefed on the details of the safari and what to expect in the next 4 days. Our driver will be delighted to take you on a tour of Nairobi’s key areas like restaurants to sample some of the local cuisines, local markets, tourist sites like the popular Jamia Mosque, and others. After this eventful day, head back to the Hotel to relax and enjoy dinner.

Day 2: Fly from Nairobi Wilson Airport into Masai Mara National Reserve

Meet your driver at the Hotel lobby for a briefing and transfer to Nairobi Wilson Airport. The flight departs at 7:30 am, 10:30 am, and 2:00 pm, and in just 45-60 minutes you will be at Masai Mara National Reserve. On getting there, a safari driver will meet and welcome you at the Airstrip with packed lunch, then embark on a game drive where lions, cheetahs, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, zebras, wildebeests, elands, impalas, gazelles, Defassa waterbucks, bushbucks, mongoose, Olive baboons, and others will be sighted. After this exciting game drive, continue to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Explore the spectacular Masai Mara National Reserve- Game drive and optional hot air balloon tour

Early in the morning you will have breakfast and leave the Lodge/Safari camp for a full day of discovering the jaw-dropping beauty of Masai Mara National Reserve. This Park is popular for its plethora of African game species such as lions, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, spotted and striped hyenas, zebras, impalas, wildebeests, jackals, gazelles, elands, Olive baboons, hippos, cheetahs, serval cats, and many others. The game drive will last about 3-4 hours but will be one of the most unforgettable things you’ve ever done. If you are lucky, you will get the chance to witness the wildebeests migrating from Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park into this Reserve, while accompanied by zebras and gazelles.

In the afternoon, you have the option of undertaking the hot air balloon tour to enjoy more wildlife and landscape views of Masai Mara National Reserve. Later retire to the Lodge or Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full-day game drive with the option of the wildebeest migration

After a wonderful breakfast, continue with your discovery of Masai Mara National Reserve, heading for another game drive with more views of animals and birds. The safari guide will provide information on the wildlife, birds, and most interestingly the wildebeest migration. This systematic process starts from Serengeti National Park and climaxes in Masai Mara National Reserve with animals overcoming some of their biggest threats (crocodiles and lions) while crossing the Masai Mara River. This is one of the most photogenic moments during your safari and you can’t afford to miss it for anything. This is an all-day activity and in the evening, you will be driven to the Masai village to learn about their interesting nomadic lifestyle, beautiful dress code, traditional homesteads (Manyatta), and traditional foods and climaxed with their traditional dances.

Return to the Lodge with memories of the day’s adventures and get treated to a delicious dinner and overnight rest.
