On having your morning breakfast, start the 1 Day Kigali City Tour drive around Kigali city “Africa’s Cleanest City”, see how clean this town is as you visit the city centers and some art galleries to shop for some souvenirs, before heading for lunch at a local restaurant arranged for you.

After lunch, you will be picked by your driver/guide for a half day tour where you will be able to see the New and Old Kigali, pay a visit to the Kigali genocide memorial ground where over 2500 bodies of the victims of the genocide incident of 1994 were given a decent burial and laid to rest in a mass grave. You will be able to watch some short video clips from the survivors as well visit the grave yard.

The experience here is so emotional as it will give you the whole picture of the genocide and its impact to the community. You will later drive around Kigali city as you find your way back to your hotel. If time permits, you will visit one of the local markets as well most likely Kimironko Market that happens to be the largest in Rwanda. Rwanda’s main tourist attraction is gorilla trekking in Volcanoes.
