3 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari via Kigali, starts with Pick up from the Airport in Kigali where you will meet with your driver/guide to transfer you to traverse the Rwanda-Uganda border at Kyanika or Katuna after finishing up with the clearing documentation then head to Bwindi Forest National Park located some kilometers off the border.
Travelling from Rwanda’s Kigali International Airport includes exploring the various Genocide Memorials, National Museums, and National Markets as well as enjoy views of the clean Kigali City. After, you shall transfer to the beautiful Rwanda and Uganda border.
Itinerary of the 3 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari via Kigali
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park
On your set off Day, you are picked up by a driver guide at the Kigali International Airport. You are briefed on how the whole safari is to happen then after you embark on transfer to explore and visit the Genocide Memorials, National Museums, National Market then later proceed on lunch en-route. You drive towards the border to traverse into Uganda via the Gatuna border.
After finished with the clearance documentation at the border, you proceed to the South West of Uganda at Bwindi Forest National Park’s Rushaga Sector. When you reach here, proceed to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Either Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla lodge (Luxury) or Lake mulehe safari lodge or Rushaga Gorilla Camp (Midrange) or Gorilla Valley lodge ( Budget Option). Meal Plan Lunch and Dinner.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest National park.
Start the day with delicious early morning breakfast then embark on a 5 minutes’ drive for briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas at the park headquarters.
When here you are welcomed by a park ranger guide then later be briefed on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas as they inform you about the Mountain Gorillas, Groups as well as their green forest vegetation habitat as well as their preferred meal.
After the precise briefing, you are allocated into groups of 8 with a lead park ranger guide who leads you to the starting point where you leave from to enter the green forest to trek the Gorillas along the various trails in the forest.
You trek these for 3 to 6 hours depending on the reported location of them in the green forest then after a while you shall meet them in a certain location and take many photos to keep. After trekking the Mountain Gorilla family here and taking many photos, you return to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Either Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla lodge (Luxury) or Lake mulehe safari lodge or Rushaga Gorilla Camp (Midrange) or Gorilla Valley lodge ( Budget Option). Day 3: Depart to Kigali Rwanda from Bwindi
This 3 Days Uganda Gorilla Safaris ends on this Day after having early breakfast then after embark on departure traversing the Uganda-Rwanda border to Kigali International Airport to board your flight back home.
