Detailed Itinerary of the 4 Days Akagera Wildlife Safari in Rwanda.
Day 1: Arrive and City Tour in Kigali
You arrive in Kigali at the Airport where you are met by our driver guide who welcomes you then briefs you about the safari and later drives you to enjoy a City Tour around Kigali as you visit the various Genocide Memorials, National Museums like Nyamata Genocide memorial Center, Kigali genocide memorial Center, Kamironko food market and shop for souvenirs at Inema Arts Center etc. On this Day, lunch is en-route. Later in the Day, transfer to check-in hotel for Dinner and Overnight.
Day 2: Drive to Akagera National Park (Game Drive)
Delicious breakfast in the morning then embark on drive to the stunning Savannah covered Akagera National Park. Your journey will be of 2 hours and a half offering you scenic views of the Eastern side of Rwanda i.e green scenic vegetation terrain, bird species, rolling hills etc. After a while, you reach the park and proceed on Game drive along the various tracks.
Watch various wildlife animals wander like Hippos, Rhinos, Elephants, Buffaloes, Topis, Kobs, warthogs, Defassa waterbucks, bushbucks, duikers, zebras, Masai giraffes, lions, spotted hyenas, leopards, serval cats and take photos then after, you shall proceed to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight.
Day 3: Game drives and Boat Cruises in Akagera
Breakfast early in the morning then embark on drive to the Park to enjoy Game Drive along the various tracks in the Park. Watch many wildlife animals wander around their natural vegetation habitat and these include; Hippos, Rhinos, Elephants, Buffaloes, Topis, Kobs, warthogs, Defassa waterbucks, bushbucks, duikers, zebras, Masai giraffes, lions, spotted hyenas, leopards and serval cats.
You shall get your binoculars, cameras to take unique beautiful photos then after watching the animals, break off for lunch. After lunch, embark on drive to Lake Ihema for Boat Cruise which offers you views of crocodiles, hippos and other wildlife along the shores trying to break their thirst as well as bird species like Kingfishers, African fish eagles, Pelicans, grey-crowned cranes,. After Boat Cruise, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight.
Day 4: Depart to Kigali International Airport
Early morning breakfast then embark on departure to the Kigali International Airport and when you reach here, board your flight back home.
