Day 5: Game viewing and drive to Arusha, departure
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Arusha
Welcome to the beautiful Arusha Town! On arrival into the safari Capital of Tanzania, drive from the Airport to your pre-booked Hotel here you will rest from the jet lag and get to explore the City’s top historical and cultural sites. Suggested options are the Arusha Cultural heritage center, Engaruka, and the Arusha Declaration Monument among others, and don’t miss sampling some local cuisines served at the popular restaurants.

- Midrange: Green Mountain Hotel or Mirimba Palm Hotel.

Day 2: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
Today, after breakfast at the Hotel, get briefed by your Driver and later embark on a morning drive to spectacular Serengeti National Park, for an afternoon game drive. This 5-6 hours’ journey is filled with beautiful views of Tanzania’s countryside. Arrive in time for lunch, but your game drive starts immediately as you head to the Lodge/Camp. Over the next two days, be prepared to immerse yourself deep in the heart of this famous migration corridor.
Serengeti’s sweeping savannah plains, bright blue skies, and wildlife-filled landscape will make you discover why Serengeti typifies the dream of “Old Africa”. Large lion prides will be seen lazing in the tall grasses; while large herds of elephants will be sighted feeding on acacia bark and trumpet to each other across the plains; while wildebeests, gazelles, Masai giraffes, giant elands, bushbucks, warthogs, and impalas will also present themselves in jaw-dropping numbers.

Day 3: Full-day Serengeti National Park game viewing experience
This day is known as the unforgettable “Serengeti game viewing day”. Enjoy a hearty breakfast and leave the Safari Lodge/Camp for the action-packed game drive aboard an open-hatched safari vehicle. Tanzania’s great diversity of wildlife will be evident during this game drive whereby herds of buffalos, elephants, and wildebeests, Hippos, Masai giraffes, Defassa waterbucks, Topis, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelle, leopards, spotted hyenas, Rhinos and lions will be spotted. If your safari is during the magnificent wildebeest migration, your mind will definitely be blown away. In the afternoon continue with the game drive and in the evening head to the Masai community for another mesmerizing experience.

Day 4: Serengeti- Ngorongoro Conservation Area, afternoon game viewing tour
This morning you will leave Serengeti National Park for Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a game drive. You will leave with packed lunch, enjoy it on arrival at your second safari destination of this itinerary. Enjoy a game en route to Ngorongoro Crater, where Rhinos, elephants, wildebeests, zebras, lions, spotted hyenas, cheetahs, African buffaloes, Hippos, and many other animals sighted. The wildlife here is remarkable, but the landscape views are also out-of-this-World.

Day 5: Game viewing and drive to Arusha, departure
It’s time to say your sad goodbyes to the wilderness but before that, first have breakfast and drive down to the Ngorongoro crater for another game drive with a picnic lunch. This UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with lots of wildlife which will amaze you on this day.
The Ngorongoro Crater offers wonderful game-viewing experiences all year round and the animals here are pretty much permanent because grazing and water supplies are available throughout the seasons. Drive back to Arusha, arriving in time for your flight back home or to the next adventure.
