Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kenya- free time

Welcome to magical Kenya. You will enjoy views of Nairobi National Park, the vibrant City marked by skyscrapers, and the Savannah plains while touching down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Our Airport representative will assist you through customs and immigration before being ushered to the private driver for the transfer to the Hotel in Nairobi City. The remainder of the day is free time and will be spent the way you desire- relaxing or sampling Nairobi’s food scene by visiting local restaurants.

Day 2: Nairobi Wilson Airport to Amboseli National Park

At 7:00 am, your Irembo Africa Safaris driver will pick you up from the Hotel in Nairobi and transfer you to Nairobi Wilson Airport. The flight leaves at 8:30 am and check-in is at least one hour in advance. Head to Amboseli National Park with views of the morning sun over the sweeping savannah plains below. Touch down at the airstrip in Amboseli where the private safari driver will take you on a game drive aboard a safari land cruiser. While on this game drive, you will spot buffaloes, elephants, elephants, wildebeests, Hippos, Masai giraffes, lions, leopards, Tree hyraxes, warthogs, and giant elands. Your picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the middle of the wilderness to allow you to continue with the game drive until the evening when you get transferred to the Lodge/Camp for a well-deserved dinner and overnight rest.

Day 3: Full day in Amboseli National Park (game viewing experiences)

Rise and shine with so much expectation as your safari dreams are about to be fulfilled. Get the chance to enjoy the rising sun light up this wilderness area and the jaw-dropping Mount Kilimanjaro. Get prepared for the first game drive of the day and after breakfast, leave the Lodge with your packed lunch because you will be returning in the evening. Safari favorites like warthogs, buffaloes, the free-ranging elephants, zebras, Masai giraffes, Ostriches, giant elands and impalas are in plenty here. This game drive will also lead you to the famous Observation Hill where you will see Hippos and lots of bird species in the marshlands.

Day 4: Amboseli National Park to Masai Mara National Reserve flight (one-hour flight)

Another wonderful day of the trip as you depart for Masai Mara National Reserve, by flight. Enjoy breakfast and pack your bags for the last game drive towards the airstrip. Bid farewell to your safari drive at the airstrip and embark on the one hour flight departing at 2:00 pm. You will meet another guide in Masai Mara who will receive you and take you on a game drive as you head to the Safari Lodge/Camp.

Day 5: Full day in Masai Mara National Reserve- game drive and culture

Enjoy a hearty breakfast and you will have the whole day to discover the beauty of Masai Mara National Reserve. Start with a half-day game drive while ticking off your check-list while spotting lions, leopards, Masai giraffes, Rhinos, cape buffalos, mongoose, aardwolves, warthogs, impalas, aardvarks, blue monkeys, yellow baboons, wildebeests, vervet monkeys, gazelles, Topis, zebras, bushbucks, Hippos, serval cats, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, and the list is just endless. After the game drive, stop for lunch at the Lodge/Camp.

In the afternoon head to the Masai village for chance to discover the awe-inspiring culture of the indigenous people. You will interact with the “Morans” (young Masai men who have been trained to protect their communities), get entertained in traditional dances performed by men and women, learn about their daily rituals like making fire from sticks and animal dung and so much more. You can also purchase some of their traditional artefacts as souvenirs. A well-deserved dinner and overnight rest awaits you at the Lodge/Safari Camp.
