Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kilimanjaro

Enjoy a warm welcome to spectacular Tanzania. When you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our Airport representative will meet and greet you, then assist through customs and immigration. Later, your driver will transfer you to the Hotel in Moshi.

Overnight at;

  • Springlands Hotel (Luxury).
  • Kilimanjaro Wonders Hotel (midrange)

Meals: Dinner.

Day 2: Flight from Kilimanjaro Airport to Tarangire National Park

Enjoy breakfast at the Hotel, then meet your driver in the Hotel Lobby. You will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for a flight to Tarangire National Park. This flight should take about 40 minutes and if you are lucky to have a window seat, they expect endless views of the Rivers, Lakes, savannah plains, and rural homesteads in the countryside. Your safari driver will be waiting to take you to the Safari Camp/Lodge but first, enjoy a game drive where you will see zebras, Masai giraffes, elephants, wildebeests and if lucky cheetahs and spotted hyenas among others. Enjoy picnic lunch and head to the Camp for a relaxed dinner and overnight.

  • Tarangire Treetops by Elewana or Tarangire Sopa Lodge (luxury).
  • Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge or Tarangire Safari Lodge (midrange).

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 3&4: Guided Safari in Tarangire National Park

The next two days will be for discovering the lesser-known Tarangire National Park and given the fact that it doesn’t enjoy the crowds of Serengeti National Park, expect exclusive game drives and birding experiences. Watch large herds of elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes along the banks of River Tarangire as well as leopards, lions and spotted hyenas hunting in the grassy vegetation. This Park’s landscape is marked by baobab trees which add up to your experiences. In the evenings, unwind at the Lodge/Camp while watching sunset from the comfort of your room, while sipping wine or any other drink.

  • Tarangire Treetops by Elewana or Tarangire Sopa Lodge (luxury).
  • Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge or Tarangire Safari Lodge (midrange).

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 5: Chartered flight from Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park

This day, you will have breakfast and have another game drive while heading to Tarangire airstrip. From there, you will take a flight to Serengeti National Park, lasting 40 minutes with more views of the varying landscapes, vegetation and so much more. Another safari driver will be waiting at the airstrip to take you to the Lodge/Camp. After resting and lunch, your afternoon will be for game drive through the Park.

Overnight at;

  • Luxury: Namiri Plains Serengeti Camp or Acacia Seronera Luxury Camp.
  • Moderate: Mbuzi Mawe Serena Camp or Seronera Wildlife Lodge.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Day 6&7: Guided safari in Serengeti National Park

The next two days will be for properly exploring one of Africa’s popular safari destinations- Serengeti National Park via game drives, guided bush walks, hot air balloon tours and possible community visit to the Masai pastoralists. For the next two days, you will be exploring different areas of this Park with views of elephants, lions, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, Rhinos, Masai giraffes, impalas, buffaloes, Yellow baboons, leopards, Hippos, Topis, bat-eared foxes, jackals, black and white colobus monkeys, and so much more. Your visit to northern Serengeti will make it possible to experience the wildebeest migration as millions of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles move through the unfence borders to Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. Close the evening with a cold bath, glass of wine and dinner at the Lodge/Camp.

Day 8: Flight from Serengeti National Park to Kilimanjaro

Have breakfast and enjoy your last game drive in Serengeti National Park, to find some of the animals missed in the previous days. Later, be transferred to the airstrip, to take a flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport. From here, you will continue with your next safari plans or take your International flight back home.
